  • To oversee and support Canadian teams competing at all of the FINA World Aquatics accredited competitions and championships.
  • To represent the interests of the four Aquatic Sports in any related activities in furtherance of these purposes.

Our Mission

Aquatics Canada is an excellence-driven organization, emphasizing and encouraging champions’ podium performances and participation in Canadian Olympic Aquatics Sports, at the elite level.

Our Goals

– Aquatic sports to win the most Canadian medals at summer Olympics by 2020.

– Canada to host at least one major international aquatics event each year in Canada, in order to increase awareness and participation in swimming, diving, water polo and artistic swimming.

Our Values

Aquatics Canada shares the same values as the Canadian Olympic Committee. The Values have been established and recognized for their purpose of reminding athletes, and their supporters, that the life skills and experience obtained through athletic preparation, competition and teamwork are far more valuable than any medal ever awarded. These are the aspects to living life which will empower individuals to lead, achieve and leave a legacy of giving back to the community.

We believe in the right of all people to pursue their personal levels of excellence.

We believe in sport being fun.

We believe in fairness on and off the field of play, as characterized by equality, integrity and trust.

We believe in free and open communication and respect for the views, roles and contributions of all.

Human Development

We believe that the short and long term physical, social, mental and spiritual well-being of all should be enhanced through appropriate behavior and practices. We also believe that the visual and performing arts complement sport in the development of that well-being.

We believe that those who participate in sport have a responsibility to teach and apply the values of the Olympic Movement.   We believe in providing leadership, celebrating achievements and legacies involving others in the Olympic experience, and to inspire and empower others to reach their potential.

We believe in sport as a vehicle to promote understanding and harmony within and among nations.
